Introduction from your host

WELCOME!

I offer a quiet, comfortable, sunny, double room in my home in a tree-lined street just a short walk from Finsbury Park and Arsenal tube stations, within minutes of central London.

We are very well connected and close to many useful bus routes as well as Finsbury Park, which is served by two underground lines (Victoria and Piccadilly) as well as overground trains. It is an easy journey to all London airports (less than 1 hour) and only two tube stops to Kings Cross with the Eurostar directly to Paris and Brussels.

Although my street is quiet, the area closeby has a thriving restaurantculture and shops, a cinema, and two large local parks - Finsbury Park and Clissold Park. You will find that the area has a great atmosphere and plenty to do within easy walking distance. But equally you are free to relax in a quiet room, and enjoy peace away from busy central London and your work or studies.

For your time off, there is the weekly 'Park Run' in Finsbury Park at 9am every Saturday morning, and the nearby Castle Climbing Centre and West Reservoir where you can swim, sail and canoe.

I am a freelance Arts PR. I work at home and have a busy time so my home is certainly my haven. I have lots of guidebooks and maps etc - and I am happy to update you about places to visit and how to get there, but I tend to get on quietly with my own life -- so I hope that suits you too.

Customer Reviews

My stay at Wilberforce road in London was very good. I loved the accommodation, it was spacious, well decorated and clean. The bed, linen and toiletries were good quality. I have used the kitchen. The owner was very helpful and supportive. Place has very good connectivity to tubes. I enjoyed my stay. I hope a little more interaction with owner could have given home like feeling from home away.

The Landlady is very nice and pleasant, the room is modest and comfortable, rest of the place is fully equiped, one has everything that is necessary. Street is very quiet, neighborhood is more or less ok...it takes only one-train-ride from Heathrow airport to local train station (about an hour) which makes it easy to access and also 10 minutes ride to the hospital where I've worked.

I had an excellent stay while I was in town for a few days doing research at the British Library. Good choice of transit connections from Finsbury Park, while also being located on a nice quiet street. Spacious room with a very comfortable mattress, and the kitchen was well stocked with fresh, healthy food like yogurt and muesli. Would definitely stay here again.
